M.E. Kinkade has been writing and editing professionally since 2004, and is often surprised by stories from unexpectedly ordinary places. She memorized the whole AP Stylebook in college (and still remembers most of it—obviously, she doesn’t get out enough). She believes it’s possible to love both Star Trek and Star Wars, because Yoda would dig the Prime Directive. She’s considering building the World’s Largest Wooden Pterodactyl and naming it Ptete, just for fun.
She’s the author Undead Rising: Decide Your Destiny. Undead Rising is a tongue-in-cheek gamebook for adults; it’s just another day at the office until zombies rise and start eating your cube-mate. Will you survive, or will you join the undead–and open up a whole new realm of choices?
I’ve nominated you for the Blogger Recognition Award! Thank you for blogging and congratulations! 🙂
I have a question about your book I believe I should not post in public. Could you send me an email so I can ask away?
Hi Julie, how about Twitter? I’m at @mekinkade !
Hi M.E. Kinkade, my ESL students are a big fan of your work. Twenty students all loved doing the book together in class, where we discussed and voted on what thing to do next for each choice. After Dead Rising, I told my students you have another book, and they cheered! So next term we will read Beamed up. I hope you write a third book so we can buy that one for our school too, in the future. Few books excite my students in this way.
Wow, that is incredibly kind! There are a few themes in Beamed Up that may not be parent-approved, so you may want to check first!
